Response to raised concerns over road safety

Good afternoon,

We just wanted to provide an update with a local issue that had been raised by a number of residents.

There have been a number of reports of a Silver Renault van seen in the local area and concerns around its driving and activities.

On Tuesday, South Rural Task Force officers have sighted this vehicle. Enquiries with the driver have established that the driver had no licence and no insurance. As such the vehicle was seized by ourselves and the driver has been reported to appear in court for the offences.

Road safety affects everybody and is consistently raised as a key issue from people across Lancashire.

South Rural Task force are committed to tackling the issues raised to us by the people of Lancashire and will deal with any offenders accordingly ensuring our roads are as safe as they can be.
